It means my body is ready to balance the over activity of the rest of the year with a period of less doing and more stillness – walks in winter’s wonderland, savouring the glow of candlelight on dark evenings with nourishing food and the pure nothingness of just sitting still – meditating or gazing at tree silhouettes against the December horizon. It’s time to be cosy with good books, knitting, yoga practise, decluttering the inbox, home, garage and, in so doing, the mind!
The frazzle of festive times can be calmed by the sanity of stepping into the seasonal rhythm and making like a tree – stripping bare, getting down to basics, kindling the inner spark, so energy is replenished ready for new growth and the arrival of spring and summer.
I wish you all much ease in bringing your life in sync with Nature and her seasons and moving towards the health, balance, peace and love you seek.
