What Type of Yoga is Right for You?
According to ayurveda, the millenia old sister science to yoga, we are made up of varying quantities of different types of energy which affect how we move, think and feel. Ayurveda distinguishes three main types of energetic constitutions and prescribes according to the balance of the energy or dosha – usually one dosha is more prominent.
As I mention on the home page, this means that no one type of yoga is suitable for everybody. Our energy shifts and changes depending on what we eat, do with our bodies, how we live and the seasons, therefore, we may need to change the pace and style of our yoga practice to accommodate the changes we experience.
